11-12 Spring Jubilee Nursery & Farm Tour – May 11-12, 2013
Spring into the color & beauty of the season and join us May 11th and 12th for the Spring Jubilee Nursery & Farm Tour.
The Spring Jubilee Farm Tour is a self-guided tour of nurseries and farms in Silvana, Stanwood and on Camano Island that offer the opportunity to get an insider’s view into the world of agriculture and horticulture and see what’s growing in your own backyard. The public is invited to meet our farmers, tour their family-owned farms, and learn about the industry and variety of crops that are grown in our area. Gardeners and flower fans can purchase vegetable starts, culinary herbs, annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, native trees and shrubs and stock up on fertilizers, garden tools, and gifts. Also available will be farm-raised beef, pork, and poultry as well as honey, fresh eggs, and hand-crafted birdhouses.
The event is free and open to all ages. Rain or shine the farmers are ready to welcome you to their farms so come prepared to have fun and get a little mud on your shoes. For more information and to find out where to pick up your tour map go to: www.portsusan.org and click on the Tours tab
