8 CASA Flea Market CASA, the Camano Animal Shelter Association, will sponsor their annual Flea Market at the Camano Multipurpose Center (blue building next to the shelter), 141 East Camano Drive south of the shopping center on Saturday, June 8th from 9 am to 4 pm. Sort through the many treasures, name your price and make your purchase. Hot Dogs will be available from 11 am. to 3 pm. The animal shelter will be open for visiting from 11 am. to 4 pm. 15 Stanwood Camano Soap Box Derby, 5th Annual Stanwood Camano Island Soap Box Derby, Seventy plus local racers will take to the streets to compete in the 4th Annual Stanwood Camano Island Soap Box Derby. Zooming down “Derby Hill” boys and girls age 8-17 years old race for the finish line and the opportunity to represent their local race city at the All American Soap Box Derby World Championship in Akron, OH. 22 CASA Car Wash and Pet Food Drive The CASA Car Wash will be held on Saturday, June 22nd between 11 AM and 4 PM at the Camano Plaza parking lot near the IGA. Bring your car to be washed and support CASA, Camano Animal Shelter Association. All proceeds benefit CASA, our local animal shelter. Plan to shop at IGA at the Camano Plaza and help the CASA Pet Food Drive. The drive is from 11 AM to 4 PM. A wish list will be available at the store.
