Welcome to Stanwood, WA

On behalf of the businesses and citizens of Stanwood, welcome to our community.

Winter in Stanwood brings many fun-filled, family events.  Here are 2 great reasons to start planning your visit to Stanwood today:

The Great Northwest Glass QUEST
February 12 through February 28, 2010
You’re on your way to participating in a new treasure hunt in the Pacific Northwest.  This is your opportunity to search for and find hidden “snowballs” handmade by Mark Ellinger, world-renowned glass ball artist.

The Great Northwest Glass QUEST is being held in the tradition of Lincoln City, Oregon’s “Finders Keepers” and Jekyll Island’s “Island Treasures” .  Glass ball facsimiles will be hidden at various businesses around the Stanwood-Camano area.  Find the facsimile and return it to the location inside for a real glass ball.

PLUS when you go to businesses that are participating in The Great Northwest Glass QUEST but do not find a facsimile, take along your program booklet and the business will stamp your booklet.  Five stamps  from five different sponsors will allow you to enter the drawing to be held on March 10, 2010 or purchase a snowball at a reduced price.  You do not need to be present to win.
